Gli SPIGA GIALLA REGGAE nascono agli inizi del 2005 a Finale Emilia con l'intendo di diffondere il reggae di Marley e il suo messaggio di Pace. Dopo due anni di attività e concerti (nelle provincie di Modena, Bologna e Ferrara) agli inizi del 2007 la band subisce un cambio di formazione arricchendosi anche di ulteriori elementi tra cui le percussioni e una voce femminile, facendosi conoscere in numerose esibizioni. Di seguito le più importanti:

• A settembre 2007 aprono il BOB MARLEY TRIBUTE a Castelnuovo Rangone (Mo) insieme ai Jungle Fever e ai bolognesi Boo Boo Vibrations
• A novembre 2007 suonano al VIBRA CLUB di Modena, luogo di esibizione di grandi artisti giamaicani come Abyssinians, Gregory Isaacs, Anthony B, Black Uhuru…
• A dicembre 2007 sono selezionati per il WINTERSPLASH a Mestre (Ve), una maratona reggae con i 7 migliori gruppi emergenti italiani.
• Ad Aprile 2008 hanno il grande onore di esser chiamati a suonare come support band agli ISRAEL VIBRATION in una indimenticabile serata a Boscoalbergati (Mo).

Attualmente gli Spiga Gialla, oltre ad eseguire pezzi propri in stile reggae e rocksteady, propongono un repertorio di classici del roots reggae tra cui: Peter Tosh, Gladiators, Burning Spear, Maytals, Max Romeo… senza dimenticare di ricordare, ad ogni concerto, il grande Bob Marley attraverso la sua musica. L'obbiettivo degli Spiga è quello di far conoscere le buone vibrazioni e l'allegria che la reggae music può regalare attraverso il ballo, in opposizione a quel grigiore che ci circonda nella vita di tutti i giorni! SPIGA GIALLA REGGAE BAND (Yellow Reggae Spikes) was born in the beginnings of 2005 in Finale Emilia with the purpose of spreading the reggae music of Marley with its message of Peace. After two years of activity and concerts (in the cities of Bologna, Modena, Ferrara and nearbyes), in the beginnings of 2007 the band suffered a change in its formation, gaining at the same time further important elements: new percussions and female voice. After this, they took part in numerous exhibitions. Following the most important:

• In September 2007 they open the BOB MARLEY TRIBUTE in Castelnuovo Rangone (Mo) with Jungle Fever (Mo) and Boo Boo Vibrations (Bo).
• In November 2007 they play at VIBRA CLUB in Modena, place of exhibition of great Jamaican artists as Abyssinians, Gregory Isaacs, Anthony B, Black Uhuru…
• In December 2007 they are selected for WINTERSPLASH in Mestre (Ve), a reggae marathon with the 7 best Italian emergent groups.
• In April 2008 they have the honor to be support band for ISRAEL VIBRATION in an unforgettable evening in Boscoalbergati (Mo).

Currently Spiga Gialla propose their pieces in reggae and rocksteady style, and a repertoire of classical roots reggae: Peter Tosh, Gladiators, Burning Spear, Maytals, Max Romeo… without forgetting, the great Bob Marley and his music. The objective of Spiga Gialla is that to spread positive vibrations and the joy of reggae music through the dance, in opposition of the grayness that surrounds us in every day life! One Love!
